Austria’s OeAD is organising a cooperation seminar aimed at strengthening higher education collaboration between Austria and Jordan. The event, jointly prepared with the Jordan National Erasmus+ Office in May 2026, brings together representatives of universities from both countries to explore opportunities for partnerships under the Erasmus+ programme. The seminar focuses on fostering institutional cooperation, mobility projects, capacity building initiatives and strategic partnerships.  

The initiative builds on ongoing efforts to deepen internationalisation and expand Erasmus+ cooperation beyond Europe, particularly with partner countries in the neighbourhood regions. The seminar provides a platform for networking, exchange of good practices and the development of new project ideas, while also addressing challenges related to cooperation frameworks, institutional capacities and regional priorities.  

By facilitating direct dialogue between Austrian and Jordanian stakeholders, the seminar is also expected to reinforce long-term collaboration, ensuring that cooperation with the region continues to grow in both scale and impact. It also reflects Austria’s broader commitment to supporting international higher education cooperation and promoting the global dimension of Erasmus+.
