A call for proposals for the academic year 2007/08 is still open for scholarships in the framework of the Alban Programme. Alban, a programme financed by the European Commission’s EuropeAid office and managed by the Sanbander Group, supports the mobility of Master-level and PhD students and young professionals from Latin America into the countries of the European Union. Depending on the category of grantees, scholarships can be granted for a duration of up to 36 months.

Alban is an ‘individual mobility’ scheme, meaning that the potential beneficiaries are the applicants (and not their universities). In the last call for proposals, over 4 000 applications were received, and over 900 scholarships awarded.
