ACA working on a new Strategy in 2022

In early March, ACA excitingly launched the co-design process of its new organisational strategy, which will cover the period up to 2027. Foreseeing the active involvement of all ACA members through a series of co-design, co-writing and validation activities, the strategy making process is led by the newly formed Strategy Committee. This coordination body brings together experienced colleagues from ACA member organisations, that are particularly enthusiastic about strategic planning and organisational development:

  1. Alenka Flander, CMEPIUS, Slovenia (also ACA Vice-President)
  2. Heli Aru-Chabilan, HARNO, Estonia
  3. Katarzyna Aleksy, NAWA, Poland (also ACA Treasurer)
  4. Maija Airas, EDUFI, Finland
  5. Mart Waterval, Nuffic, The Netherlands
  6. Michael Hörig, DAAD Brussels Office, Germany
  7. Olivier Tschopp, Movetia, Switzerland (also a member of the ACA Administrative Council)
  8. Patricia Onieva González, SEPIE, Spain
  9. Stamatia (Tina) Garani-Papadatos, IKY, Greece
  10. Ulrich Grothus, ACA President

with the full support of the ACA Secretariat.

Carried out at a time of significant, continued volatility in the field of international higher education, and in a rapidly changing geopolitical context re-shaping education and science diplomacy, the process aims for a particularly innovative and forward-looking outcome. The strategy is foreseen to be ready for adoption at the association’s autumn General Assembly, which will be hosted by ACA’s Polish member organisation – NAWA – on 29-30 November 2022 in Warsaw.
