Already in December of last year, ACA was commissioned by the Swedish STINT Foundation to evaluate the organisation’s flagship scheme, the Institutional Grants Programme (IGP). The evaluation will be conducted between now and the end of July 2009.
Started in 1996, the IGP has funded close to 250 collaborative ventures between research teams at universities in Sweden and abroad, involving over a thousand individuals. The high-profile programme aims at strengthening Swedish research through international collaboration. It seeks to build lasting partnerships and puts a particular emphasis on the development of young researchers, such as doctoral students and postdocs.
