ACA members work together to transfer expertise

ACA members find different venues to cooperate and exchange good practice. Among the most recent ones was a conference held in Budapest on 23-24 March 2009, attracting 124 participants from 19 countries, and focusing on the experiences and challenges in the international promotion of higher education. The conference marked the end of the Erasmus Mundus Action 4 ‘Building capacities’ project, funded by the European Commission. Within the scope of this project, ACA’s French and German members, CampusFrance and DAAD respectively, worked together to share good practice and experience in marketing higher education with three national agencies from new EU member states: the Balassi Institute (Hungary), NAEP (Czech Republic) and SAIA, one of the two Slovakian members of ACA.

Through the conference, seminars and field-training sessions in Europe and Asia, the partners contributed to developing the skills of staff in the national agencies and higher education institutions, to improving the attractiveness of the three East-Central European member states in third countries, and to enhancing intercultural understanding.
