ACA Members provide support to Ukrainian students and researchers

Following-up on the initial reactions from the higher education sector, ACA members continue to provide relevant information to Ukrainian students and researchers and issue further statements condemning the ongoing conflict.

DAAD launched the website of the National Academic Contact Point Ukraine. It collects information for Ukrainian students and researchers on issues ranging from residence permits, university admission, studies and research, to everyday life in Germany. It is available in German and English, and the Ukrainian version is constantly being expanded. Currently, around sixty support opportunities from the research sector can already be found on the website, which is constantly being updated and expanded with additional offers.

swissuniversities issued a statement and endorsed the Swiss Federal Council's condemnation of Russia's military invasion by noting that Russia has thereby massively violated international law. In a dedicated webpage, interested parties can discover related statements, legal requirements for Ukrainian refugees, and other support mechanisms for students and researchers in more than a dozen universities.

Austria's Agency for Education and Internationalisation (OeAD) launched a new website with relevant information for project management agencies and funding recipients. It includes a list of scholarship opportunities under the Erasmus+ and European Solidarity Corps (ESC) programmes, teaching materials for pre-university classes, information about the Austrian education system and German courses, as well as other support measures.

NAWA recently presented their activities under the initiative “Solidarity with Ukraine”, available in Polish.
