ACA European Policy Seminar: 2016 start-off with ´What´s new in Brussels´

The beginning of 2016 was marked – just like every year since 2004 – by ACA´s flagship European Policy Seminar – What’s New in Brussels? Recent developments in European policies and programmes.

Traditionally, ´What´s new in Brussels´ focuses on the most recent developments in European policies and programmes, and this year again we did not abstain from the successful formula. The seminar programme provided essential updates on the Erasmus+ and Horizon 2020 programmes, as well as on other key initiatives by the European Commission. The event was a mix of plenary and workshop format sessions, thus providing both opportunities for broader discussions and for in-depth exchange in smaller, specialised groups.

The audience had the opportunity to get fresh news on U-Multirank, HEInovate and the Erasmus+ Master Loan, and an update on the upcoming deadlines for the calls under Erasmus+ and Horizon 2020. Smaller group sessions (parallel sessions) allowed participants to share their experiences with different actions and activities under the Erasmus+ programme, from ‘international credit mobility’, or ‘strategic partnerships’ to applying for and organising ‘joint programmes under Erasmus+’.
We hope that the seminar provided food for thought and a worthwhile take-away for the participants and we further invite our audience to save the date for the next ACA European Policy Seminar on 18 May - Master’s level education in Europe. Towards a comprehensive approach from recruitment to graduation.
