ACA autumn 2011 events on the horizon

October and December will offer prime opportunities to participate in two timely ACA European Policy Seminars (EPS) in Brussels.

First, on 14 October, we will host The social dimension in European higher education. This seminar will bring together a roster of highly qualified speakers, including (but not limited to) representatives from EURYDICE, the OECD, the European Commission, and the Bologna Working Group on the Social Dimension of Higher Education. The objective is to explore the core issues of access and equity in European higher education, as well as the dynamic between rhetoric and reality in this sphere.

Later, on 2 December, our seminar under the title Internationalisation revisited will take as its point of departure the pressing need to clarify our understanding of internationalisation in a changing context. Here, we will shine a thoughtful light on fundamental questions related to emerging definitions for the phenomenon, and consider the evolution of key aspects of the international agenda, including student mobility, curricular innovations, policies and partnerships from the perspective of institutions and national-level actors.

Wouldn’t your autumn agenda be more complete with an ACA event in the mix? Space remains in both seminars, but registrations are coming in quickly. One way or another, we hope to see you in Brussels before the year is out!
