ACA – A) New Asia-Europe scholarship search engine B) Erasmus Mundus enhancing attractiveness grant awarded

A) Asia-Europe scholarship search engine
In cooperation with IAU, ACA has been awarded a project which will create an inventory of scholarship programmes between Asia and Europe.  The focus will be on the 13 Asian and the 25 EU countries belonging to Asia-Europe Meeting (ASEM). ACA will complete this work on behalf of ASEF, the Asia-Europe Foundation, based in Singapore.

B) Erasmus Mundus grant awarded for: Promoting European Higher Education through Educational Advising Centres' Network
With the Open Society Institute Hungary as the lead institution, ACA and several organisational partners have been awarded an Erasmus Mundus Enhancing Attractiveness grant. The project aims at promoting European higher education for students and scholars from the Caucasus and Central Asia, so as to raise the visibility and attractiveness of European universities in those countries and to enable the students and scholars to make informed choices when making decisions on study and research abroad.

The project will reach its ultimate target group-- students and academia at large- through the multiplier effect of first creating a pool of 33 trained advisers in 26 locations over 6 countries. Knowledge will be transferred, the profile of European higher education raised, as well as lateral links forged via four training seminars to be held in Baku, Tbilisi, Almaty and Vilnius. The funding will cover training seminars (one of which ACA will lead) however the impact will go beyond the seminars thanks to the existing EAC network.

ACA wishes to congratulate the Open Society Institute Hungary and all its partners.
