The European Centre for the Development of Vocational Training (CEDEFOP) is the European Union’s reference centre for vocational education and training (VET). With this report, CEDEFOP aims to analyse the evolution of European policy for VET over the period 2002-2010. The document addresses all major issues relevant to the sector, from the introduction and evolution of the Copenhagen process in 2002 to perspectives on the Europe 2020 strategy. Additional steps to be taken by VET stakeholders moving forward, to assure its relevance and dynamism are also addressed. The report was introduced in early December 2010 in Bruges, together with Bruges Communiqué, and is available for free on CEDEFOP’s website.
