Non-Discrimination Ombudsman - an independent authority whose task is to advance equality in Finland and to prevent and tackle discrimination: on the basis of age, ethnic or national origin, nationality, language, religion, belief, opinion, political activity, trade union activism, family connections, state of health, disability, sexual orientation or other personal characteristics.
Ombudsman for Equality - an independent authority supervising compliance with the Act on Equality between Women and Men. The Ombudsman has powers on matters related to gender and gender minorities and mainly provides advice and guidance.
