Jenny first joined the ACA Secretariat in March 2024 as a Project Assistant and is currently a Policy and Project Officer. In her role, she supports the development and implementation of ACA’s activities, contributing to project work, data collection and analysis, reporting, member development activities, and administrative tasks. Her main areas of interest include, among others, policies and research related to and the impact of mobility and internationalisation in higher education, European initiatives on various mobility forms and higher education cooperation, capacity building, inclusion and accessibility to international higher education.
Before joining ACA, Jenny’s professional experiences include a mix of work and internship experiences, such as various research assistant positions in projects focused on education and languages in Åbo Akademi University (Finland) and brief experiences with quality audits of higher education institutions. As an intern in the Finnish National Agency for Education (EDUFI) she gained diverse experiences related to internationalisation and administration of development cooperation programmes within higher education. Other internship positions broadened her knowledge related to international relations in the Embassy of Finland in Chile, as well as on Nordic collaboration within the Norden Association in Denmark, focused on a labour market exchange programme, Nordjobb, for youth. She also has brief teaching experience, primarily as a study counsellor in an upper-secondary school.
In addition to her studies in the Erasmus Mundus master’s programme in Research and Innovation in Higher Education (MARIHE), in Austria, Finland, China and Germany, Jenny obtained a master’s degree in Pedagogy from Åbo Akademi University. She is fluent in Swedish, Finnish and English. Additionally, she speaks Spanish and has a good understanding of Norwegian and Danish.
