Angeliki first joined the ACA Secretariat in October 2021 as a Policy and Project Officer but as of August 2023, she is a Policy and Project Coordinator. Her main focus is on digitalisation and sustainability in international higher education, conducting both project and policy related work. In the framework of overseeing the digital portfolio of ACA, she is the co-chair of ACA’s Thematic Peer Group “New Mobility Formats”, exploring the intersection between digitalisation and sustainability and discussing emerging trends and issues in new digitally enhanced mobility formats as well as their implications for programme design and the work of funding agencies. She is also the coordinator of the recently funded HIBLend project, aiming to raise interest in and enhance HEIs’ capacity to develop high-quality blended mobility opportunities for students.
Angeliki has a strong background in project development & coordination, partnership building and grant management, and she is also experienced in developing dissemination strategies and organising high level events. Her main areas of professional and personal interest are international cooperation, mobility as a foster agent for European identity, digitalisation, inclusion and social responsibility of educational institutions.
Before joining ACA, Angeliki spent five years within the international relations office of the University of Paris 8 - Vincennes Saint Denis, where she worked as a project manager and engineer. She also spent one and half years within the Secretariat of the European Vocational Training Association where she managed the EU projects division, and, specifically, a portfolio of 14 projects. Since 2020 she has also been working in the private sector, in a complementary capacity, in evaluating EU funding applications in education and conducting research for EU studies (e.g., study on the implementation of the Council Recommendation on promoting automatic mutual recognition).
She holds an advanced master’s degree in International and European Relations from Linkopings University, Sweden, and an undergraduate degree in English Language and Literature, from the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens. Having lived in 5 European countries, Angeliki considers herself first and foremost a European citizen. She is fluent in English and Greek (mother tongue), speaks French as a working language and tries to learn programming languages in her free time.
