According to a new paper written by the National Foundation for American Policy, international students in the United States account for 70% of the full-time graduate students in electrical engineering, 63% in computer science, 60% in industrial engineering, and over 50% in economics, chemical engineering, materials engineering and mechanical engineering. By examining the number of institutions where international students make up the majority of the full-time graduate students, this report helps to illustrate the importance of international students as a source of talent and innovation in the U.S.A., supporting research and maintaining high level graduate programmes
