This book grew out of the experience of a European Union Thematic Network of the same title, and focuses on aspects of the complex and varying relationships between globalisation, europeanisation and education. The volume is divided into two parts, the first focusing on governance and the knowledge economy and the second on citizenship, identity and language. This book is only one outcome of the work of the EU Erasmus Thematic Network, GENIE – Globalisation and Europeanisation Network in Education.
