The Institute of International Education (IIE) and the American Institute for Foreign Study Foundation (AIFS) have released a new publication entitled US-China Educational Exchange: Perspectives on a Growing Partnership - the first issue in a series of five Global Education Research Reports to be published in the coming three years. The current report is a collection of essays by American and Chinese government and academia experts and examines key issues in US-China academic exchange, analysed from multiple perspectives, with the final goal of strengthening these relationships by emphasising exchange models and best practices as well as challenges and opportunities to further increase cooperation.

The publication, including chapters on exchange of teachers and students at secondary schools, exchange programmes for advanced scholars, government sponsored programmes in the US and China and case studies on successful university linkage initiatives, is designed to give a comprehensive overview of US-China academic exchange to policymakers as well as practitioners.
