The European Research Council Consolidator Grants aim to boost and support the independent career of researchers that are at a crucial stage in developing their research team or programme. Participants in this initiative must be at least one legal entity established in one of the European Union member states or in an associated country. The Principal Investigators must have been awarded their doctoral degree more than seven years ago and up to 12 years prior to the publication of the Consolidator Grant call. The total budget will be divided into three research domains: physical sciences and engineering (44%), life sciences (39%), and social sciences and humanities (17%).
