Eight months after its inception (see ACA Newsletter – Education Europe, June 2008) the European Institute for Innovation and Technology (EIT) makes public the selection criteria for the first Knowledge and Innovation Communities (KICs). The venture is meant to provide interested actors with information on the main requirements the applicants should fulfill in their KIC proposal. The official call for proposals is expected to be launched in April this year, and will principally address one of three priority areas:

• climate change mitigation and adaptation;
• sustainable energy; or
• future information and communication society.

EIT
