It is with great sorrow that we inform you that EURASHE's president, Roland Vermeesch, passed away on 10th June in Gent. Roland suffered a cerebral haemorrhage during a meeting in Austria after which his conditions suddenly deteriorated. We shall remember him as a man who devoted himself and made an enormous contribution to European higher education, both as the president of EURASHE and as a member of the Bologna Follow-up Group. Mr Lars Lynge Nielsen has been appointed acting President.
