European Conference on the ERASMUS Intensive Programmes in Bonn

On 10 and 11 December, the national agency for EU Higher Education Cooperation in the DAAD hosted a European conference on Intensive Programmes in collaboration with national agencies from 18 European countries and the European Commission.

Around 100 higher education representatives from across Europe were able to exchange views on topics such as how to set up and run an IP, academic recognition, integration into the curriculum and sustainability in a panel discussion and several workshops. A project exhibition of good practice examples further facilitated networking.

Within the framework of the new EU Programme for Lifelong Learning (2007-2013), the Intensive Programmes (IP) have become a decentralised Erasmus activity which are managed by the national agencies in the respective participating countries.
