NOKUT (the Norwegian Agency for Quality Assurance in Education) is an independent expert body under the Ministry of Education and Research responsible for recognition of foreign degrees. NOKUT works to enable people with a foreign education to make effective use of their qualifications in Norway, and ensure that employers and educational institutions have a good understanding of foreign qualifications.
As one of the examples of good practice in Europe, NOKUT has developed a Toolkit for Recognition of Refugees’ Qualifications.

Apart from NOKUT, local universities also evaluate foreign education for their own purposes.
