Mobility Policy-Practice Connect – MPPC

Duration

October 2013 - September 2014

Partner(s)

European University Association (EUA)

Description

The objective of the project was to develop capacity at national and institutional level to define and implement strategies for student and staff mobility. More specifically, and to this effect, the project:

  • Supported, in conjunction with national rectors' conferences that were associated partners, the development and enhancement of national mobility strategies, which is one of the milestones of the Mobility Strategy for the EHEA (agreed by ministers in April 2012).
  • Concentrated on three national case studies, where the capacity development activities took place (France, Lithuania, Hungary), and used these countries as examples for how policy makers and institutions can work together to define/improve national and institutional strategies for mobility across Europe.
  • Conducted an ex-post analysis of the experience of three pilot universities of the MAUNIMO project (2010-2012), after completing the Mobility Mapping Tool (a mobility self-assessment tool). The ex-post analysis was then linked to the workshops and focus groups.
