The Institute of International Education (IIE) has published a new white paper, sponsored by the Embassy of the United States of America in India, on the occasion of the U.S.-India Higher Education Dialogue held on 25 June 2013. Skills development education has become a key area of cooperation between both countries, and American community colleges, which work with the local industry, are said to be producing graduates with immediately applicable skills. The IIE white paper therefore analyses the U.S. community college model and its implementation and potential in India.
