The Education Working Paper series are based on the work of the OECD Directorate for Education, which explores the forces touching higher education.

The paper is divided into two main parts: the first part provides an overview of globalisation and higher education and the global responses of national systems and individual institutions of higher education. The second part is focused on certain areas of policy with a strong multilateral dimension such as Europeanisation, institutional rankings and  typologies and cross-border mobility.
