This report analyses income and employment outcomes for students who complete tertiary education in New Zealand. The results show that both earnings and employment rates increase with the qualification level gained. Earnings also vary significantly according to field of study. Graduates with a bachelor’s degree in medicine, dental studies and pharmacy have the highest salaries , while those in creative arts are at the bottom of the earning scale. Graduates with a bachelor’s degree in natural and physical sciences, society and culture, health, agriculture and environmental studies are the most likely to pursue further study after graduating.
