EU-China law school

The European Commission is seeking proposals for a Europe-China School of Law in the People's Republic of China. The project aims at improving the knowledge, skills and performance of the Chinese legal profession in relation to European and international law. The school would ultimately play a key role in supporting the transition process and the sustainability of legal, social and economic reforms in China.

Following the Chinese Government’s adoption of the Reform and Open Door Policy, China has made considerable progress in modernising its laws and legal institutions. This has inspired the EU to commit to opening a Europe-China School of Law.
