DAAD support for two new centres in Azerbaijan and Kenya

On behalf of the European Commission, the DAAD will support further development of the 2013 established centre for EU-Studies at the ADA University (ADAU) in Baku, Azerbaijan. In cooperation with the consulting company GOPA (leader), the University of Bologna and the Maastricht School of Management, the project aims to develop an institutional strategy for the “Centre for Excellence in EU Studies” (CEEUS). The project runs from April 2017 till September 2019 and is financed by the European Commission.

DAAD also rolls out support for a new centre in Kenya, which now brings the DAAD network of excellency centres in Africa to a total of eight. In cooperation with the HTW Dresden and the TU Freiburg the ‘Centre of Excellence for Mining, Environmental Engineering and Resource Management’ (CEMEREM) recently opened at the Taita Taveta University College in Kenya.
