Liese Prokop Scholarship for recognised refugees

The Austrian Integration Fund (ÖIF) supports committed asylum-seeking students with very good academic success who do not receive state funding in Austria and who demonstrably need financial support to study, with the Liese Prokop Scholarship to complete their studies and enter the Austrian labor market.

 

MORE

An initiative by Universities Austria uniko with several thematic sections

  • MORE-Courses aim at providing a space for reflection to refugees where one can find out whether university studies are an option for the future. It offers orientation in academic and artistic study fields and language trainings. MORE courses are held at every university town in Austria
  • MORE-Perspectives is an offer for academics and scientists who had to flee their country. It is a platform where refugees can share their knowledge and experiences with the interested public.
  • MORE-Activities are open formats that go beyond the academic sphere and help refugee students feel at home

 

 
The Austrian Research Promotion Agency (FFG) is the national funding agency for industrial research and development in Austria.
 

MORE THAN ONE PERSPECTIVE (MTOP)

A social business that brings companies and refugees together on the job market. Please note: job seekers are required to pay a fee to join the programme.

 

Ludwig Boltzmann Gesellschaft Career Centre

Central point of contact for research careers in Austria. It includes individual and institutional consultations in many formats: workshops, coaching, analysis, etc.

OLIVE Open Learning Initiative

The University of Vienna is offering free academic courses for individuals with refugee or asylum seeking status in Austria who have an interest in pursuing university study.

 

Austrian Universities of Applied Sciences also offer selected courses, language classes, access to libraries and other services as well as free enrolment as a (non-degree) student to refugees.

SMART Academy

The operation of the SMART Academy operates on three levels:

  • Education, development, and training of SMART academy member
  • Stakeholder management and improvement
