Erasmus+: Additional EUR 200 million for Covid-19 related measures

The European Commission has published the revised annual work programme 2020 of the Erasmus+ programme. It adds up an additional EUR 200 million to boost digital education, skills development and inclusion through creativity and the arts as a strong response to the Covid-19 crisis.

This revision – which also reflects the increase of the annual appropriations for Erasmus+ in 2020 – allows for:

  • strengthening the financial support to certain priority actions,
  • introducing minor changes and updates to the text,
  • introducing other budgetary and technical changes,

Under the „Strategic partnerships in the field of education, training and youth“, an indicative EUR 100 million budget will be allocated to implement a specific round of selections to address the priority “Innovative practices in a digital era”, while an indicative EUR 100 million budget will be allocated to implement a specific round of selections to address the priority “Skills development and inclusion through creativity and the arts”.

The calls are open until 29 October.

The total budget, including all types of budgetary appropriations foreseen under the 2020 amended work programme is increased to EUR 3 776 008 876 for Erasmus+ Programme.
