Fostering cooperation and relations with international alumni is one of the priority tasks of the Czech National Agency for International Education and Research (DZS) in the field of supporting the internationalization of Czech higher education.

Through its Czech Republic Alumni programme the DZS offers both online and offline services for international alumni in order to strengthen their relation to the Czech Republic and allow their closer contact with programme partners like Czech universities, ministries, diplomatic missions, public institutions or the private sector. The alumni programme is a part of the Study in the Czech Republic initiative.

A new Facebook page Czech Republic Alumni has recently been launched within the alumni programme.  This social media channel will inform about the latest programme updates or events organized, bring forward interesting alumni stories and serve as an e-meeting point for international alumni and students of all kinds of educational programmes at Czech universities.

The historically first Alumni Networking Event was held online at the beginning of May and attended by international alumni of Czech HEIs, DZS representatives and programme partners. The intention was to bring together people from all around the world who have one thing in common to talk about - studying and living in the Czech Republic. Besides online conversations and networking, the event also virtually welcomed a special guest, Mr. Emmanuel Asamoah who was awarded the DZS International Alumni Award 2020.
